The two who put birth into birthday celebrate two months today. This past weekend when Katherine, Moses and I went for our regular stroll around Seward park I finally decided to take my camera along. Next time I'll hand the camera off to Katherine for some photos of myself with my beautiful son.

Stroll THE BIRTH OF MOSES EMMAUS MOES

Waves of optimism endlessly crash into shallows of skepticism
The pushing rounds into its fourth hour of futility
Every attempt pulls my heartstrings and waters my tear ducts
Her many moans met by my empty expressions of encouragement

To the woman he said,
I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children.
How cruel.

Fatigue.
Silent despair.
Vocal encouragement.
Moses.

Born on the 6th of August
The Feast of Holy Transfiguration
When he took the three disciples
to the mountainside to pray,
his countenance was modified, his clothing was aflame.
Two men appeared: Moses and Elijah came;
they were at his side.
A bright cloud enveloped them,
and a voice from the cloud said,
"This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
